FERGUSON — SHELL
Miss Mary Jane Ferguson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ferguson and Richard Shell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Shell were united in marriage Friday, December 31 at 10:00 o’clock in the St. Patrick’s Church with the Rev. Edward G. Mahoney, 0.M.1., officiating. A musicale was presented by Joseph Leavy, organist, and Mrs. Leon Vance sang. 1 The bride was attired in a wine suit with grey and wine accessories and wore a corsage of white roses. ~ Miss Patricia Lloyd of Anderson served as maid of honor in a green dress with white and black accessories and wore a corsage of yellow mums. The bridesmaids were the Misses Sharon Ferguson, sister of the bride who wore a gold colored dress with white and brown accessories, and Joantha Andrews of Benton Harbor, Mich., who wore a grey dress with brown accessories, each wearing a corsage of pink carnations. The bride’s father gave her in marriage. The double-ring ceremony was performed. John Tierney of Wawaka served as best man and the ushers were Robert Summers, cousin of the bridegroom and James Tierney of Wawaka.
The mother of the bride appeared in a grey silk dress with black accessories, and the groom’s mother wore a dress of powder blue with black accessories, each wearing a corsage.
After the wedding, the bride’s parents served breakfast to about thirty-two guests, the bridal party, the immediate families and a few close friends. 2
Mr. and Mrs. Shell left in the early afternoon for a trip to Chicago. - They are now located in their apartment at 124 N. Cavin.

Mr. and Mrs Jesse Dewey entertained with a family dinner Christmas Day. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stults and son Randy, Elkhart, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dewey and son Danny of Huntington, Mr. and Mrs. John Leming and Bill Cochran.
Mrs. W. A. Babbitt, South Bend has been visiting here for the past two weeks in the home of her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Freeman.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Douglass and children spent the Christmas holidays with relatives in Toledo, Ohio, and Detroit, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Churchill and son Guy drove to Lafayette, Ind. Sunday where Guy will fesume his studies at Purdue. &
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Galloway and daughters spent New Years Day in Elkhart as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Swartzel. Mrs. Galloway’s mother, Mrs. Ethel Smeltzer was also present at the dinner which was in honor of Mrs. Galloway’s birthday anniversary.
