- Hugh Showalter has accepted a position in the Stanley Locker Plant and super-market.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bennett of Silver Lake, the former’s mother, Mrs. Herbert Bennett of Warsaw, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Chrisman and son Jimmie of Goshen were Thanksgiving guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Chrisman. Mr. and Mrs. Bennttt and Mr. and Mrs. Chrisman were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Chrisman. :

Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Lowe]l and daughter Kathryn of Elkhart were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Greenwood. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Greenwood entertained at dinner Mr. and Mrs. Shirly Loy of east of town, and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Niblock of Middlebury.

Mrs. Hazel Kline entertained at a family dinner Thanksgiving Day in the country home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Rogers the following members and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smoker, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Kline, Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Kline, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Kline.

Rev. A. H. Miller, Mrs. Roy E. Rogers and daughter Helen, Eugene Moser, Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Kline and family were Sunday visitors in the E. A. Rogers home.

Mrs. Otho Penrose and Mrs. James Chrisman were in S. Bend Saturday visiting Mr. Penrose, who underwent surgery in the Memorial hospital earlier this week. Mr. Penrose, who is recovering nicely, will be brought home this week. <

Milo Roderick has been confined to his home the past week by illness. :

Jimmy Stiver of Elkhart spent the week end in the Stiver home.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernen Speicher of Goshen and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Speicher of Lansing, Mich. were guests Saturday evening of Mrs. Florence Showalter.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. B. Botts spent Tuesday in Ft. Wayne.

Mrs. George Mason was a dinner guest of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Calbeck of Ligonier on Thanksgiving Day. Friday they called on John Simpson in Shipshewana, who has been ill for some time.

Mrs. Howard Rohn attended the Security Loan banquet in the Shriner Club in South Bend Monday evening. _

Roy E. Rogers, local painting contractor who became il] at his hunting lodge in northern Michigan Saturday afternoon and was brought by ambulance to the Goshen hospital early Sunday morning, has beefi transferred to the Norway sanitarium in Ifidianapolis where his condition s considered serious. ’
