Wawaka News .~ by Mrs. Thomas Stigner BARRETT — REED Wopdwardia fern, White Chrysanthemums and candleabra decorated the altar of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kendallville for the marriage at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon of Miss Collette Jean Barrett and Edsel Ernest 'Reed.' : " ~ The ushers were Sanger Reed and Hugh Winebrenner, brother and brother-in-law respectively of the bridegroom. ‘ Miss Margaret Minsel sang, with Mrs. Dieterle, organist, accompanying her. : Dr. M. F. Retzman officiated at the double-ring ceremony for which Mrs. Bonita Geiger of Cromwell was matron of honor and Mrs. Mary Gaerte and Mrs. Josephine Hart, both of Albion, were bridesmaids. Jamés Gehring of Ligonier was the best man. .
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Barmrett of Wawaka and Mr. and Mrs.,Wm. Reed of Ligonier are the parents of the groom. Following the wedding, a reception for 125 guests was held in the home of the bride’s parents.
