- Mary Elizabeth Guthrie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James L. ‘Guthrie born last Sunday night in the McCray Memorial Hospital at Kendallville, died three hours later. i : ; Funeral services were conducted Monday in the Bonham and Miser Funeral Home in Albion with the Rev. William D. Stephenson officiating. : Burial was at Logansport. The father is the Noble County Farm agent. ! : ~ Surviving besides the parents are two sisters, Jane and Patricia, both at home; a grandfather, Lahrei Guthrie, Rockfield, and a grandmother, Mrs. Irene Gail, Logansport.

Mr. and Mrs. Kranklin Roberts and family spent Thursday with her sister, Mrs. Russell Clawsoa at Columbia City.

Several ladies from the church of the Brethren motored to KElkhart Thursday to attend the Northern Indiana Women’s Work Rally. - Each lady was to take sugar for a boys school in Germany. 2,770 pounds were given that day. Miss Ursula Von Duhreu of Berlin was the guest speaker. :

Walter Zimmerman of Kendallville, brother of Mrs. Jessie Schwab, has been very ill in the hospital. His many friends will be glad to her that he is improving. i

Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Locker and Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Newman of Kendallville have returned home from Des Moines, lowa, where they attended the Golden Wedding of an uncle and aunt.

Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Click were the guests of honor Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Click and daughters. The occasion celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married November 24, 1898 and have lived in or near Cromwell since that time.

The table was appropriately decorated and centered with two beautifully decorated cakes. They received many lovely ecards and gifts, A ' - Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Click and daughters, Syracuse; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Thorne, LaPorte; Mr. and Mrs. Herb Blanford, Indianapolis; Mrs. Maude Twaits, Fort Wayne and Mr. and Mrs. Orris Beezley, Cromwell. The occasion also marked the birthday anniversary of Mr. Jacob Click.”

‘Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bickel have moved from Albion to the Milo Calbeck farm for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Calbeck are spending the winter in California. ‘

Robert Summers, Richard Griffith and Miss Pat Kesler who are students at Purdue are -expected home Tuesday night to spend the Thanksgiving vacation with their parents.

Lawrence Smith nad family are now occupying the Mrs. Marjorie Beers home having moved from the lake.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Eaton have gone to Florida for the winter.

Mrs. Lloyd Moore entertained last Wednesday evening with a baby shower for Mrs.. Richard Mueller and infant daughter. -
