‘Lydia Circle of the Methodist Church met Tuesday evening in the home of Mrs. Ray Mathew. Miss Blanche Harsh was in charge of the devotions and Mrs. Edward Bourie gave the lesson, the topic of which was Korea. At the close

of the evening, refreshments were served by Mrs. Mathews and Mrs. James Simpson, co-hostess. _

Dr. and Mrs. Q. F. Stultz and family were week end guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lois Arnold ‘in Greencastle, Ind: On Saturday, they attended the Dad’s Day football game and on Sunday had dinner at Turkey Run.

Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Kelley were hosts at a family dinner in the Publix_ Restaurant, Kendallville on Sunday. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Scott, Rochester, N. Y., Mr. John Gates, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Pugh, Columbia City, Miss Helen Kelley and Mr. and Mrs. William Nelson and family.

Fourteen members and five guests of the. Rebecca Circle met Tuesday evening in the home of Mrs. Sam Law. Mrs. Charles Cleveland led the devotions, Mrs. George Williamson spoke on “Alaska.”

Mrs. George W. IKidd arrived Tuesday from Chicago for a stay in her home here.

Mr. and Mrs. William McGuin were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and’ Mrs. Michael Shoudle in Kendallville. :

Girl Scout Troop 3 spent their November 8 meeting making hot pads for a hot pad sale in December. The meeting was held in Mrs. J. F. Stultz’s home at 3:30.

Mr. and Mrs.- R. S. Scott: of Rochester, N.Y. returned to their home Tuesday after visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Kelley.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Galloway and daughters were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Arney in Sturgis, Mich.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dewey of Huntington were Sunday dinner guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Dewey. Sunday afternoon callers in the Dewey home were Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Dewey and daughter Evelyn, Mr} and Mrs.

Mrs. Adrian Biddle and Mrs. D. H. Freeman spent several days this week in Detroit where they attended the Regional Girl Scout Conference. ,

Mary Ann Moses celebrated her birthday Tuesday by entertaining a group of young friends’with a weiner roast and theatre party. Girl Scout Troop 5 held their regular meeting in the City Hall last Monday afternoon with Joyce Ann Gorril serving the treat. The girls made stuffed rabbits and teddy bears to be sent to underpriveleged children. 4

Miss Laura Ruth Levy is spending this week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Levy.

Mr. and Mrs. Sid Ort, Churubusco and Mg and Mrs. Fred Schwab, Albion, were Sunday callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Biddle.

Billman, former residents of Ligonier for many years, will be interested to hear that they will celebrate their Seventy-Fourth Wedding Anniversary, November 16th-at the home of their daughter, Mrs. L. C. Foster, 1915 S. E. |l‘aylor St., Portland, Oregon, ;where they moved four years ago. #

Mr. Billman will be 97 years old January Ist and Mrs. Billman was 92 in July. . e They had eight children, six of whom are living, 8 grand children, 11 great-grand children and 1 great-great grand child.

The .Good Samaritans of the Evangelical United Brethren Church met in the home of Helen Huffer, Monday evening for a business and social meeting.
