Christian Science 411 Lincolnway West | Church Services at 11 A. M. CHRISTIAN SCIENCE SERVICES “Reality” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, September 26. ; The Golden Text was: “The things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (II Corinthians 4:18). Among the citations which comfrised the Lesson-Sermon was the ollowing from the Bible: “While he yet slgake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daufihter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee arise. And straightway the damsel ch)me, and walked” (Mark 5: 35, 41, The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passage from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Secriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “The fact that the Christ, or Truth, overcame and still overcomes death proves the ‘king of terrors’ to be but ‘'a mortal belief, or. error,. which Truth destroys with the spiritual evidences of Life; and this shows that what apgea‘rs to the senses to be death is but a mortal illusion, for to the real man and the real yßigggsie there is no death-process”\p.
