Wawaka News Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ellison were week end guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Piggott. = Earl Schwab, Fort Wayne and -Mrs. Jessie Schwab were recent guests in the home of Gerald Johnson. - - Mr. and Mrs. Charles Targgart are staying in the Linville Myer’s house during their vacation in Arizona. : b | Mr. and Mrs. Harold Snyder are parents of a daughter born at the family home on Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hooten and daughters Judy and Nancy were Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Head of Ligonier. _ The WSCS meeting has been postponed until next week and will be held at the home of Mrs., Earl Couts. Dwight M. Hooten, New York City, who has been visiting relatives -and friends during the holidays was accompanied by his parents on his trip to West Liberty, lowa. ' Reverend and Mrs. Richard Bowersox and son Stephen have returned home from a business trip to Illinois. - Mrs. Treda Milner entertained the Dorcas Class at her home Thursday evening. £

M», and Mrs. John Coffman’ entertained the Fellowship group of the Methodist Church at their home Sunday evening. A pot luck supper was held with twenty people present. . Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Smolinski spent New Years eve in Mishawaka and South Bend visiting friends. A surprise party was held in honor of Grant Knepper Sunday who celebrated his 83rd birthday. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. ~Louis Knepper, Kalamazoo, Mich., . Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Knepper, Albert and Alvin Knepper, Elkhart, Mr, and Mrs. Ed Chapman and son Johnny, Mr. and Mrs. Lawxence Knepper, Bea Barger and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Smolinski and family. =

Mr. and- Mrs. Dwight Hooten were vistors at_the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Head of Ligonier last Sunday. ;

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Becker and son Danny, Mishawaka were recent guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Smolinski.

Wolf Lake News Mrs. Adrian Vendersmith and Mrs. Brate entertained the Dorcas Society of the Adventist Church and friends New Years eve. Game, contests and a Christmas exchange of secret pal gifts preceded a spendid luncheon. Ladies from Columbia City, Wolf Lake and Ligonier were present. : Mrs. Etta Herron left for Fort Wayne last Monday to stay with her sister. She will be treated at the Fort Wayne Hospital while there. - A son was born to Dr. and Mrs. Robert Roth Monday morning in the Luckey Hospital. ' Hosmer and Allen Morse of Chicago spent a few days of their vacation with relatives in Wolf Lake. Earl Shouse, teacher at Thorncreek Center is home during the close of the school because of icy roads. - T

The Noble Township Home_Division will meet with Mrs. Jennie Cole Wednesday evening. All members are urged to be present. °

¢ Kimmell News Mrs. Carroll Fausnaugh and children and Mrs. Lois Harper and daughter spent New Years night at the home of their brother Ralph Moore and family near Cromwell. \ : Deloss Ganguer has returned from Phoenix, Arizona, where he spent several weeks. Lorace Growcock returned to Michigan this week after spending the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Growcock. His parents -remained for the balance of the week. Mrs. Bly Phares has returned home after spending-several days in South Bend with her son and family. . Norman Noe, Youngstown, Ohio visited his parents last week. Kimmell and Cromwell students returned to their studies after a two week’s vacation because of a breakdown of the school stoker. Mrs. Mildred Fausnaugh is confined to her home suffering from arthritis. ;
