Dried Egg Good quality freshly dried eggs have practically the same value as shell eggs, as they contain vitamin A and good protein. They also have thiamin and riboflavin, two of the B vitamins needed to keep the body running smoothly. They are available as either the whole egg or separated into yolks and white, and they are economical since one can measure less than one egg when only a small amount is needed,
County superintendent Joe Adair attended a meeting of county superintendents at Columbia City last week.

Explore possibility of developing this otherwise waste space in your home.
IT'S a long way between here and completion of the estimated 2.! 700,000 dwellings needed to solve the veterans’ housing shortage. Meanwhile, there’s no shortage ofl marriages. Housing requirements continue to increase. That demands} putting -all idle home space to use. Don’t overlook the attic as a starting place in your hunt for more room. Most attics contain several thousand cubic feet of usable space. It looks barren now, but there’'s a lot of magic in a few dollars worth’ of wallboard and paint, according to Ray Hookway, Sherwin-Williams Color Consultant.l Insulate betweén the roof beams to keep out the heat of the sun in summer and to comnserve indoor heat in winter. Add a dormer or skylight, if necessary, to improve ventilation and make more light. A dormer suggests a built-in writing desk, or a window seat with a cedar-lined storage bin underneath. In fact, the shortage of good furniture makes the current trend in remodeling run to as many built-in features as possible. A simple studio couch or box spring and mattress provide a daytime couch and a night-time bed.

Couch can be covered with material colored to match walls. Throw-pil-lows can be covered in contrasting colors. If you want to economize, i you can make your own studio couch by cutting down the ends of i an old bed to mattress level. | Flank the couch with built-in | book cases. The tops of the book cases serve as end tablés —a goodspot for table lamps. : | There still will be plenty of room under the eaves for storing bulky articles like trunks and suitcases. Put unobtrusive doors in the wall to make that space accessible. Solve the heating problem with a small gas radiant heater or a compact oil burner if an extension to the existing heating system is not practical. Make provision, too, for a lavatory, if you want the attic to be a truly self-contained place. The final touch is a cheerful paint job. One-coat walls with the new Kem-Tone water-mixed paint. It goes on easily with brush or roller. Fihish the walls in a soft pastel shade of blue or green KemTone. It will make the room appear more spacious. Do the ceiling in an ivory or beige to take advantage of light reflection. ;
