Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was the. following from the Bible: “I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no iod but me: for there ia no saviour beside me. O Israel, thou hast destroyed tthelf ; but in me is thine help. I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plafues’; O grave, I will be thy destruction” (Hosea 13:4, 9, 14). The Lesson-Sermon also included the following mSage from the Christian Science textbook,“Science and Health with Key to the Scrig; tures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “ man is never to overcome death, why do the Scflg.tures say, ‘The last enemy that shall be destx:‘cv»ye_d; is death’?
