Schools, Wawaka High and North Elkhart, reopened Monday morning after the Thanksgiving holiday with teachers and pupils ready to work harder than ever. : Mr. and Mrs. Frank Franks and daughters gave their annual dinner at their home near Wawaka for all members of the family and their families, coming from Cromwel, Wawaka and Fort Wayne. Pvt. William Thomas, only son, now in the old world, was missed. Manager and Mrs. Glen Hooten of the People’s Mutual Telephone Co., have given notice of their resignation to officials of the company. By mutual agreement the 60 days notice will terminate Dec. 31. Both are faithful employes and the company and stockholders regret losing them. : '
