Républian Presidential Nominee tg Confer Wth Hig Advisers This Week.
Governor Alf M. Landon of Kansas is awaiting additional ammunition for the boardside he plans to turn on ‘the New Deal in his notification speech in Topeka July 23 The Republican presidential nominee will be joined this week by Charles P. Taft and Ralph W. Robey, twg memberg of his research staff who have been collected data for Landon’s first major political statement since his Cleveland nomination. : ;
Landon already has whipped the speech into tentatiove shape, it was believed. It has occupied much of his time since hig arrival at Estes Park, Colo., with his famly for a vacation. It was believed the text would be completed before he returng, to Topeka.

Three Hurt in Crash.
Three boys were injared, two seriously, Saturday afternoon north of Kendallville, when a light pick-up truck in which they were riding crashed into a tree in front of the James KEvers home. Donald Kurtz, driver, apparently turned tke corner too last and lost control of the machne ang crashed intp a tree. Cloyce and Donald Kurtz, sons of Mr. and Mrs. George _Kuriz, and Richard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Kurtz, were the three boys figuring in the accident. Cloyce sustained only minor cuts and bruises while ‘Donald_sufferedd a deep, painful one his forehead and deep cuts on the left elbow and chin. Richarl was the most seriousl hurt sustaining a serious injury to hig jaw bone, two cracked ribs, numerous cuts and bruises and injuries which necessitated the removal of tive teeth.
Albion Man Missing Returns Home. Leonard Schutt, aged 51-of Albion was ordered to appear in Noble circuit court Wedensday on a charge of wife and child desertion bhrought by hig wife. Schutt had been missing from his home in Albion since a week ago yesterday and was said to have had more than $7OO in currency, -received from bonus bonds on his person at the time of hig disappearamce. Hé appeared at hig home late Tuesday evening and wag taken suddenly il ‘His wife notified Sheritf Irvin Cazier that he had reached home. He was not taken into custody due to his il ness but he has been mnotified to appear in court for arraigLment. 1
SALEMAN CRASH VICTIM Maurice Hallflish, 28 Killed Near Hunt®rtown As Truck Leaves Highway Maurice Haiiflich, 23, of Ft Wayne was . instantly kiiled about 'elght. o'clock Thursday evening when the truck he wag driving overturned on state road 3 about two miles north of Huntington.
Hailflich, ag salesman for Peter Eckrich & Son, Inc., was retarning to Fort Wayne when the accident occurred.
Driving south, Halflich lost control of the truck which left the road and sideswiped a utility pole. The t-uck then swerved back onto the highway and plunged to the other side of the road, turning over twice as it left the pavement.
Hailfich was found about ten feet from the truck. Persons who noticed the truck a ghort time before the crash said ‘Hailflich was driving with the left front door open and his one oot resting on the rumming board. It is their opinion that Hatildlich had gone to sleep momentarily. He suffered a skull- fracture and a crushed chest. Hailflich had been employed by the Echrich company 2% years and had been on the route about six weeks. He ig survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hailflich of Uniondale two brothers and a sister.

Farmhouse Burnms,
A six room house on the Harvey Michael farm, southwest of Goshen, was completely destroyed by fire Tuesday afternoon. The house was occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kehr. Firemen from the New Paris, Foraker and the Goshen departments prevented the blaze from sgpreading to adjoining buildings. Most of the furnishings were carried f}‘om the house.
Fisherman Drowns.
8. J. Gard, 55, of near Soutn Bend was drowneqd in Blue Lake where he and his son were fishing. The father, gstanding in the front of the boat lost hig balance when a bass struck and fell into the lake. The son tried in vain to rescue him. Surviving Mr. Garq are the widow and foure teen children.
Stricken While Singing,
Stricken with a heart attack while ginging in the choir Gustave Benecke 62 of Fort Wayne died guddenly at the Concordia Lutheran church. He collapsed after singing the last song of the service.

A total of 37,893 checks for $15,642,150 had been written up to this week in payment of bonus bonds, according to Adolph Seidensticker, postmaster of Indianapolis. This amount represented 312,843 bonds and are for veterans cashing bonds at the Indianapolis postoffice and at 900 postaffices throughout the state. The treasury department notifed the Indianapolis postoffice Saturday that on some instafices in various parts of the country, payment of bondg presented for cashing has heen held up because signatureg were not in exact agreement with the names printad on the homds. =
