resistance of the individual, hence the greater necessity of keping up the personal equation. The well known methods of curing tuberculosis are alsp effective in preventing it. The essential things in the cure are extremely simple—fresh air, rest good food and moderation in all things—and because they are 8o simple, they are often difficult to obtain.
‘Wonderful results have been obtained during recent years in combating the enemy but much is left to be done. : :

; Not many boys have tlie chance of traveling with g circus iike I have for the last couple of months—and having somebody like “Wally Beery, Who knows all about circuses, elephants and tigers to tell you all about them. I mnever thought I woulr ICMH ‘better time than I 4id in “Treasire Island” with Wally, but “O’Shaughness’s Boy” has besn the most fun I have ever had. ~ Best of all, T started to work at the circus a' week after schoo! let out. And Mr. “Boley”, as' everyhody calls Director Richard Boleslawski, said I could have my gang out every day, if T wanted to.
Walley was swell. You know he was a circug elephant -trainer ‘'ong before I was born and took care of 26 elephants when he was with the Ringling Bros. circus. Wall; is the finest pal a boy could have--and the bravest. He handled the big elephants just like their trainer. and even got intp the cages with tigers and lions. ;
My gang sure wag thrilled when Wally invited them out to see him wrestle with the tiger—a real live one from Bengal. T had the most fun when Wally let me have a “bull hook” and taught me how to make Anna May—that wag our best elephant—do tricks. She would get down on her knees for us and raise up on her hind legs, just like she would for Wally.

The Golden Text is: “Every house ig builded by some man; but he that built al lthings is God” (Hebrews g4y, Among the citations which comprise the Lesson-Sermon is the following from the Bible: “Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being his counsellor hath tanght him?
