« Mr. and Mrs. Herman Harris of Detroit Mich., arrived in Ligonier Saturday evening on their way home from Florida where they had spent six weeks and visited Mrs. Harris’ granimother Mrs. Anna Heermann and her aunt Mrs. Charles Shearer and many other friends and relatives They returned to Detroit Sunday even ing.
Paul Thomas who works for Bishop’s in the summer at Syracuse had his hand burned in an acecident in the garage in Alblon where he has been working” this past winter. A spark had ignited a pan of gasolite and Thomas using long tongs tried to carry the pan out doors, but even though the tongs were long, the heat severely burned his hand. .
Bristol Man is Insane. Kenneth ‘M. Snapp, 50, of Bristol, was ordereq committed to the state hospital at Longcliff for treatment when he appeared bgntore Judge Simpson in the Elkhart circuit court at Goshen an an insanity petition. Snapp expressed a desire to be seunt to the hospital. ; ; Snapp was identified as the “doctor” 'who kidnapped one South Bend woman and attempted to kidnap another. He was arrested in South Bend Friday on complaint of Mrs. Anna Hughes. He gave the police the name of William Smith of Chicago
Caught as Hi-Jackers.
Caught as they were driving into Fort Wayne after hi-jacking a sio!machine at the Bickel filling station on the Leo road, three men from Noble and DeKalb counties were turneq over to Sheriff Fred G. Lunz Sunday night by Motor Patrolman Chester, W. Axt and Joseph Mooney. Adviseq by radio of the slot-ma-chine theft, the city policemen halted the trio at the city limits. Thy were identified as Dale Marsh, 22, of Kendallville; Nate Rufner, 45, of Auburn, and Paul Wing, 24, of Waterloo. The officers said all three had been drinking. The slot-machine, a penny dice machine, was in their automobile.
Kendallville Store Robbed.
Loot totallig $75 in guns and cash was o btained sometime Saturday night by thieves who broke into the Kendallville Hardware company. 1. 0. Reinoehl, manager of the store, discovereq the robbery Sunday noon. Entrance had been made by lowering themselves through a skylight. In their haste to rific the cash register, the thieves tore it open with tools to obtain $23 in cash. Three guns, two shotguns and a rifle, also were taken.

Holy Week Services
You are becoming familiar with the plans for Holy Week Religious servicesg for Ligonier. The four churches Methodist, United Brethern, Christian and Presbyterian are uniting in noon day services. These will be held each day in the Presbyterian church from 12:10 to 1:00 o’clock.
It is something new for Ligonier, but a tried method for cities, to use the noon hour. Tt is expected that the people here will like this arrange. ment. oo
On the first four days there will be out of town speakers. Two of these are from prominent churches in Elkhart and one from a leading church of Fort Wayne. The other is yet to he announced. ; On Friday there will be a three hour service, beginning at 12 noon. These three hours will be divided into six periods of one half hour each, each period being:' a separate unit. Admission will be:-only at the conclusion of each period. Solemnity and meditation will mark the gpirit of those three hours. Those hours will pass with such rapidity, as you stay throughout the time, that you will wonder if some mistake has not been made.
