FARMERS ORGANIZE. Organlze Fiarm Debt Adjustment Committee at Meeting Held at Albion Bonday. '
The County Farm Debt Adjustment Committee recently appoinied by Goy. Paul V. McNutt, for Noble county held ang organization meeting in Albion Monday evening, January 1. The following officers were clected: Chaimarn, George L. Foote; vice chairman, William H. Favinger; secretary, Roy Rice; and Herman Butz and Arthur Larson complete the committee. The function of such committees already appointeq in ail counties of the state is set forth in the governop’s letter of appointment, part of which is as follows: “It is our thought that such committee, will serve as a material assistance to both the debtor and creditor in an effort to arrive at a friendly, sensible and fair solution of the debt problem, and that such efforts will tend to concilate many probiems cf the type which have heretofore resulted in unmnecessary foreclosures. It ig likewise hoped and expecied that these v@luntary committees will serve in the future as a basis of developing harmony between controvertng interests in various localities of the state.” . _ : ~The local committee in order to avoid any misunderstandings as to its duties, wishes to make public the following statement concerning its work: :
a. Any debtor or creditor seeking a readjustment in the debt relationship, one with the other, may ask this committee to investigate and make recommendations to either or both parties for the purpose of effecting a satisfactory solution of gny existing difficulties. \ b. Application blanks will he furnished to either the debtor or creditor seeking adjustment. These blanks supplieq by the secretary of the committee may be used to request the aid 0% the committee, ;
¢. This commitee has nothing to dc with the actual refinancing of farm loans under the federal farm relief legislative program. Such relief should be sought through the federal land bank of Louisville, Ky., of which Riley C. Case of Wolcottville, Tnd., is the local representative.

Dedication Program of M. E. Church. The program of the dedication of the new Methodist church will begin January 21st. The events have been decided upon anq will be as follows. Sunday Jan. 21st. 9:80 Sunday School. 10:30. Dedication Day Worship service ang ceremony. Dr. C. H. Smith of Fort Wayne will be the preacher. At 2:30 Dr. Smith will give an address on his trip to Palestine this last summer. At 6:30 the young people will have a very interesting Epworth League service. At 7:30 the organ recital. Tuesday evening. Community Young peoples’ banquet. The details. of this will appear later. ; Wednesday 7:30. Recognition of Ep worth Hall Service. The choir will take part and Rev. A. C. Wischmeier of Uniion City will be the speaker, Epworth Hall is the room Kh,ere Sunday school classes will be held, the prayer meeting and Epworth League will meet and other important religipus gatherings. Thursday evening. The Ladies Aid will serve a public supper, price 30 cents. ;
Friday afternoon the Womens Foreign Missionary societies will have a program and social hour to which all the women are to be invited.
Sunday January 28th Dr. Croxall will be here and a very fine Sunday School program is being mapped out. Thursday February Ist. Community Men’s banquet. = Carl Endicott of Huntington past international president of Kiwanis will be the speaker. This beautiful new church is fast being completed. The pipe organ is installled and ready to use. The church feels itself very fortunate in having such a fine organ as the one now installed.

- Miss Barbara Parker, 15, of South Bend, daughter of Reed Parker of Dowagiac, Mich., anq of Mrs. Earl C. Blough of South Bend was killed and John Pollock, 22, also of South Bend was critically injured in an automobile accident just north of the Indi-ana-Michigan state line on the Niles roard early Monday morning.
