- Don’t Care For Any More Storms One of the most interesting storm stories to date was told by Sheriff John Singleton. He said: “The storm of last Wednesday was the worst I was ever in, and I suffered more from it than in any other I ever experienced, I was in Kendallville that day after those two lads Temple and V. Conrad who went to Albion with me. Well, we got stuck good and plenty, and I froze my ears and face badly in getting my automobile out of the snow banks. The two boys wanted to help me but as they had no underwear on I told them to stay in the car and keep as warm as they could. But it surely fixed -me right.” —Kendallville News-Syn. '
