l' $250 FOR HUSBANDS'S DEATH ] 'Suit For $lO,OOO Damages Against Pony Express Line Is Settled in , Court ‘ Mrs, Nettie Meroney of Elkhart formerly of Ligonier was awarded judgment of $250 in her damage suit against the Pony Express company by I‘Judge L. L. Burris as the case came lup for a decision in Elkhart circuit court at Goshen. The suit for $lO,OOO arose from the death of Mrs. Meroney’'s husband wlifich was claimed to have been caused by injuries received when he was struck by a Pony Express bus several miles north of Elkhart in November 1927. The case had been venued to the Kosciusko circuit court only to be refiled last month in the Elkhart (rir-l cuit court. .
