Despite the story there was a good attendance .yesterday afternoon at the Armistice Sunday service which was also the regular joint service with the Methodist churgh. Rev. T. R. Alleton of thie Ridgedale Presbyterian church of South 'Behd gave the address. ' The Ameriéan Legion werg guests at _this service. “If ¥e break faith with us who die,. we shall not sleep though poppies grow in Flanders Field.” These ‘lines of the wegll-known poem was Mr. Allston’s theme. The nation was characterized by eloquence’ and much thought and was one of the best of its kind ever given in this city. Musical features of the service were a voecal solo by Mrs. Haines and a violin solo by Miss Sack. ¢ ' Others taking -part were Miss Frances Sack accompanist and John Leming. - Mrs. W. ; United Brethren Church. . Loyal Women Class meeting Tuesday evening at the church. : Med-Week services Wednesday evening at 7:30 o’clock. This is the second Loyalty Mid-Week service. The IBAUBBU Class will have their regular meeting at the church Thursday evening promptly at 7 o’clock. The newly elected officers of the clags will entertain the class. We were happy yesterday for the fine loyalty that was shown in all the services. So many said, ‘“Good attendance today in all the serivces.” Rev. P. A. Hubbart, pastor of Burr Dak and Solomon's Creek church will be the speaker at the Wednesday evening services. : ' : R . Champion Yo-Yoer. Don ‘Cotherman, senior of the Ligonier high school has been acclaimed champion yo-yoer of thig section. Don first tested his skill on the veranda of Hotel Ligonier and that was such a trifle height, he decided we wanted to go higher in the air, so with his yo-yo he went to the top of the Weaver's hardware store a .threc story building to demonstrate his skill with the yo-yo, which proved a huge success. Now Don is looking for a higher altitude, and says he may try from airplane. The yo-yo used from Weaver building was a special made one and measure eight inches in diameter.

20th Century Limited. The Twentieth Century Limited the New York Central’s famous train Saturday was operated for the ten thousandth time in each direction between New York and Chicago. The Century made its first trip June 15 1902 and has been in service continuously ever since except for a short interval during the world war when extra fast trains were suspended to save coal. In its twenty-seven years of service the Century has carried 3,080,000 passengers a record believed to be unequalled by any other fast long distance train in the world. It gross earnings have been more than one hundred million dollars also record. The Centur'y daily runs in an average of three sections ‘each way on its 960 mile course between America’s two greatest cities.
