The fifteen poorer paying farms averaged 204 acres and an invesument of $21,211 The average expenses for the two groups were practically the same, $2BOO. However, there was a big difference in gross receipts, the hetter paying farms averaging $6058 and the poorer payving farms averaging $3748. There was also a great deal more money invested in ‘l)x'odu('tive livestock on the better paying farms: the average heing $14.16 per acre foér the better paying group and $10.55 for the poorer paving group. Six records kept by onion growers were not included in the above summary. Due to the good crop vields and prices which were unusually high, they made good labor incomes. all be!in,s: over $4OOO.
