, Obituary l Josiali Kitson was born in Pennsvlvania Nov. 24, 1847 coming to Ohio] when quite young with his parents Mr, and Mrs. Alfred Kitson - later coming to and locating in Elkhart County,‘ Indiana. He passed away after a short iliness of three days at the homa of his son William in Goshen Nov. 28 1928 aged 81 vears and 4 days. ' * He was the oldet and last one of 6 children. in 1871 he was united in marringe to Malinda Jane Hire who passéd on Sept. 27 1919. To thig union were borp five children, two girls who preceded him in death, three sons Wm. of Goshen, Harlin of Chicago and Judson who resides cn the ‘home place, who were near him at hiz death. = - Besides being a kind ‘and loving father he was a friend to all that knew him. He leaves behind threq sous ten grandchildren and one great, crandson besides a maultitude of
friends 19 mourn their loss. - The funeral was held from the Rich ville church , Friday® afterncon with putial at the Hire cemetery. “"ox -Christmas Seal Sale. Four nundred dollars worth of seals as well as many posters, slides and newspaper cuts have been recelved by the Lions club of this city. It is believed by the committee in charge +f the sale that al lof these seals can be sold. TLast year they sold over three hundred and fifty dollars worth 52 seals. The Christmas seal bond will be sold to those organizationg desirous of giving large sums and not having any need for a large numher of seals. - ‘ . The campaign for the sale of the Christmas seals will be opened in Ligonier on December 9 th, and will be cenducted similar to that orf last year, . : ; , It is mrnestly hoped that the people of Ligonier will support this worthy lcause as well as they did last year,

The wheels will turn today for thg first time at the marvelous new -automatic hydro-electric plant on Pigeon river at Mongo where the Northern Indiana Public Service company is bringing to completion one of the moost interesting power projects ig the state. It iz the last word in elecy tric science and is an interesting sight for those interested in electricity.
