The pedaling robber escaped after obtaining $5O in a holdup at a general store in New Mt. Pleasant. He covered ‘the owner and customers of the store with a sawed-off shot -gun, As he left the store he mounted a bicycle, he threatened a small "boy who drew a tiny pistol, .’but' with al number of playniates was unaware of the holdup, police said. :

: Obituary. * ‘Minnie May. daughter of Henry and €’ ristena Eby, was bdrn near Wawoka, Ind., April Ist, 1871. - She departed this life Octobey 2, 1928, at the age of 57 years, 6 months and 1 day, ~ She had one full sister in the fiesh, who died i the year 1894. There| !were also four half brothers and two! half sisters, of whom James W. Eby of Kansas, Jacob Brumbaugh of Wawaka and George . Brumbaugh .of i(‘hurubusco remain. !

May sth, 1895, Minnie May Eby was united” in marriage to William H. Baker. = To this- union were born five children, two daughters and three scnz. The danghters are Gladys R., Berniece C, and the sons, J. Claude, Iloward Lamar, and Berg who died in infarcy. The other four children all remaining at home, ‘ At an early age Mrs. Baker united with the Church of the Brethern near \‘fa;vaka. Upon the removal of the family to Ligonier, she placed her memberslip with the Ligonier Christian church. She has lived a faithful, consecrated Christian life all her days. The devetion that she gave to the church speaks clearer and louder of her love for the- Christ than any words. At any work for the church she was one of the firsy to be there and one of the last to leave. We shall miss her greatly in our church activities, as well as the family will miss her -in the home. v .

Lucinda Arnold, 80, senility, Kosciusko county; Isaac Clark, 94, Nappanee; Sylvia Gray, 47, Goshen. ~ Final Testimony Heard. Final testimony was heard Monday inthe DeKalb circuit court in the $lO,OOO damage suit of Edward L. Surfur against Dr. C. P. Cox of Garrett, resulting from the death, several months ago of the plaintiff’s nine-vear-old son, Harold. The case will reach the jury Tuesday or Wednesday The plaintiff is a son of Mr. anq Mrs. George Surfus, of Noble county, and he formerly resided at Loon lake }“Oh ‘Kay!” is O.K. tonight.
