ny_.Larson, of near Ligonier; DMrs. Frieda Vorhis, who died 12 years ago:; Claus who lives near the old home; ‘and Matilda who is at home. Mr. Bobeck’s parents, Mr. and Mrs, John Bobeck came to America in 1871. Nils ‘and his son William followed and came to America _ih 1883 and ‘settled here on the farm on which he lived and died. After providing a home he sent back to Sweden for the rest of his family, who came in 1888, thus reuniting the family in America, Mr. Bobeck was a good husband, father and neighbor and will be greatly missed. # " :
He died Monday morning, Sept. 24, about five .o’clock, aged 80- years, 10 months and 11 days. He leaves beg hind t(} mourn their loss his faithfm wife, ffour children, 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, besides three brothers and one sister in America and one sister back in Sweden, and a host of friends. - Mr. Bobeck, when'an infant, was baptized in® the Luthern church of Sweden and at the proper age was received into membership in the church by the rite of confirmation. i While he lived in Sweden he was _a,“ regular and faithful attendant at the se?vices of the church. When he came to America, where he had to learn a new language, and new religion and church customs he never started in to cléurch. How unfortunate it is that he did not. However, we bury his remain ifn the faith he confessed, and in which he was baptized and confirmed and commit his soul into the hands of God. L It is interesting to note that Mr. and Mrs. Bobeck were looking forward to the celebration of 'the 60th anniversary of their marriage the 20th of next Mareh. : . Funeral services were held Thurslday, September 27, at the Richville M. E. church, Rev. Arbaugh, pastor lof the Grace Lutheran church at Syracuse, officiating. Burial in Ligonier cemetery. _ »
