Elkhart Girl Missing. : Elkhart police have heen asked to aid in the search for Thelma Stetler 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stetler, of Elkhart, who disappeared from her home Saturday evening. The Airedale dog which had gone with her, returned home early Saturday morning, but no trace of the girl has been found. ~ Dailey Dien®unces Expenditures Increasing state expenditures under the last three republican administrations were denounced by Frank Dailey democratic' candidate for govyernor in his address before more than 500 northern Indiana democrats at LaPorte Monday night. ; If elected governor Dailey promised to treat the state money as a sacred trust fund and see that the expenditures are made by qualified men.

“There are too many bwards and commissions in Indiana” the candidate declared. He urged abolition of the useless ones and consolidation of the good vnes to save expenses. Dailey advocated home rule and said he was for “taking power from boards and commissions and placing it- with the people where it rightfully belongs.” :

Claims Vietim in County.

An imposter, parading as a representative of the Fort Wayne Motor club and the Hoosier State Automobile Association is claiming his victims in this territory. He has stolen or forged Fort Wayne Motor club blanks and pretends to sell memberghps in the American Automobile association. The man has been operating in Churubusco and Ligonier. From one party he received $5 and from another $3, promising thenr metor club membership, hotel signs and maps. He is described as ibeing about 45 years old, five feet, eight inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. In one instance he gave the name of R. H. Doyle, and in anether "case'that of R. H. Ringwind.

Fun Stunt Fatal.

Harly Friday evening several residents of South Milfordswere sitting in front of Slentz Brothers’ hardware store joking and talking with each other as was their daily habit. “Some langhing remark was made and Emory Dailey age 58 prominent resident of South Milford for the past five years gave chase to one of his friends. He slipped on the oily pavement and fell. Tuesday morning he died of injuries sustained in the fall, in the Sturgis Memorial hospital where he had been taken late Friday night after he complained of considerable pain. ' ! A

Material and temporal thoughts are human, involving error and since God, Spirit is the only cause they lack a divine cause” (p 286).

. Stewart Family Reunion. The members of the Stewart family held their reunion at the home of Mr. an@ Mrs. Henry Gale, in Wawake, Sunday. A bountiful dinner and a good program were features of this occasion, Lloyd Gerver was elected president, and Esther Portner, secretary and treasurer. The next reunion will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Yeager in Goshen.
