Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shearer entertained at their home at a Sunday dinner Mr. and Mrs. Manius Schlas bach, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Maggert and children of Fort Wayne and Mr. and Mrs. James Iden of this city. Mrs. George W. Brown left Monday for Boston to spend a couple of weeks with her son H. B. Brown. She wag accompanied by her three grandchil, dren who have been here on an extended visit. :

Ira Reed received a fine of $25 and costs amounting to $55, and a six months sentence to the Indiana State Farm following his arrest by Night Officer John Boggs, Saturday evening. Reed was released from the State farm just two weeks ago, after serving a thirty day sentence for public intoxication. He was taken to Albion by Sheritf Singleton who will take him to the State farm. e
Alfred Kline Dowling street was given a fine of $lO and costs and had his driving license revoked for a year, at the same morning court session, Kline and two other local youths were enroute home from Rome City Saturday night, when they were picked up on North Main street by Officer Boggs. The other lads were not intoxicated and were not held. Kline pleaded guilty to the charge of driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated .-—Kendallv»ill’e(' News Sun. = . ~ Judge Biggs Sustained. The appellate court at Indianapolis has gaffirmed g" the decision of Judge Arthur Biggs, in the Noble circuit court, giving the Kendallvillg Lumber company a judgment : of $73.29 on a mechanics lien against Guy Burger, for lumber purchased in 1926, for the construction of a house, according to word received. Thy lumber company carried the suit td the higher court, havng a claim of $1,759.84. v -

Bride of Month Dies
Mrs. Charlotte Grace Shinn 22 whq was married just a month ago to Russel J. Shinn of Elkhart died Monday morning of ptomaine poisoning. Mr. and Mrs. Shinn and another Elkhart couple left Saturday morning to spend the holiday in Wabash. Sunday Mrs. Shinn became ill and wag brought home and died Monday. :
