Because.of recent heavy raims which flooded the Lost River valley near West Baden Indiana the John Rcbinson circus, which was to open in Evansvillee Monday canceiled the engagement and also the engagement for Owensboro Ky. Tuesday. Serious damage was done to the main tent, according to reports when attempts were made to remove it from four or five feet of water in which it stood at West Baden Saturday.

In an effort to lure birds to Muncie the Muncie Nature Study Club is establishing a bird sanctuary along White river near Eimridge Memorial park there. Five hundred evergreen trees have been placed in the sanctuacy and bird houses and feeding stations have been set up. Theb irds have been fed there during the winter months.

Bank Buys Avilla School Bonds

The Fletcher goan & Trust company of Indianapolis were bidders for the purchase of the &Aviila school bonds which were sold Saturday afternoon. The bonds were issued to the amount of $76,000.50 and the Fletcher Company paid a premium of $3,241.80.

A gypsy band which fled from Montpelier after robbing a blind man of $23 drew fines of $5 each and thirty-day jail sentence at Hart
