Mishawaka Man Is Killed,
Allis Kneller 22 son of Mr. and irs. Joseph Bintz of Mishawaka was fatally injured early Sunday morning when aFord car he was driving collided with a street car. Kneller was thrown from thec ar and sustained a fracture of the sl aund died hefore he could be given medical assistance. Kneller is believed to have {allen asleep. .

Baccalaureate Serviees At Avilla
The first event that will mark the close of the high school festivities at Avilla was held Sunday evening at the Evangelical church when the baccainureale exercises were held Rev. Ira Stecl pastor of the Evangelical church delivered the sermon and was apssisted in the wBvices by Rev. B. V. Smith Fort 'Wayne. There are eleven graduat.-s six bors and five girls. The commencement will be held next Friday evening.
Highwayman Robs Auatoist
Highwaymen forced Geo Redderson of Antwerp O. to drive his automobiie into a ditch near Woodburn about 7 o’clock Monday night and then robbed him according to a report received by police. Redderson was enroute home from Fort Wayne. Redderson was robbed of $5O in cash checks for £l2, a 17-jewel gent's watch and a lad¥’'sw rist watch.

| Picks Up Live Wire ; Oras Masterson truck driver for the Weils county highway depatiment was severely burned about the hands Tuesday afternoon when he picked up a live tension wire charged with 2,200 volts of electricity on the Hoosier highway five miles south of Bluffton. Masterson was taken to the Wells County hospital where physicians are making every -effort to - save the fingers on bhoth hands. ‘The heavy gloves which DMasterson was wearing when he picked up the wire are believed to have saved his life. Masterson picked the wire up to place it on one side of the road. He did not. know that it was charged }Wii.h electricity.
Sedan Stolen From Garage -
A new standard Hudson sedan recently. brought to the Schrader & Son garage from the factory, was stolen from the garage some time after nine o'clock Monday night at Columbia City. The machine was secn in its parking place in the garage at that hour. The thieves moved three Essex cars to get at the new machine and then ran It out of the garage. It had a dealer’s iicense number of M3OO on it. Ligonier police were notified of the theft. ! : :
Milford Man Injured
David Mentchrich of Milford was slightly injured and his machine demolished ‘Saturday afternoon when it was struck by another auto driven by Thomas H. Myers of near Goshen, at the road intersection in Waterford. Mrs. Mentchrich riding with her husband was uninjured.
Weaver Makes Coniession. Valentine D. Weaver former president of the defunct National Bank at LaGrange in the trial of Clyde A. Waib in federal court at Ft. Wayne confessed that he uttered forged notes to the amount of 381,315 for the Walb Lonstruction company covering a period of three years.
Grimes Boy Dies
Laverne Grimes 10 year cld son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Grimes of Cromwell died of pneumonia at his hoane Saturday morning at nine o’cloci:.

Vanderburg suffered a digiocated ankle and painful bruises, Tuesday morning when she was thrown from her saddle at the Kendallville fair ground race track, and dragged a short distance. According to Mrs. Vanderburg the horse became frightened and she was thrown to the ground. Her foot was caught in the stirrup, and the frightened horse dragged her along the ground, inflicting a number of severe bruises. | ; | Death of Avilla Youth. } } Cecil Lash age 20 died in Sacred Heart hospital Garrett Saturday evening from complications incident to injuries sustained over a year ago when agravel truck he was driving upset near Fairbanks corners north of Avilla. He had never fully recovered from the injuries. He had been at the hospital for the past two months, = ' Suicides Near Angola. E. H. Nahrwold 26 of Fort Wayne died at the home of his mother Mrs. Augusta Muller at Lake James a few iminutes after he had stabbed himsclf over the heart with a- pocket knife and had drunk a quantity of poison. Homer Nelson a North Side resident, is laid up on account of the fracture of a bone in his left arm just above the wrist. He fell on the steps of the U. B. church last Sunday morning and suffered the injury. J. E. Kime, 77, killed himself with a shotgun in the barn on his farm near Sturgis Monday. He fired the charge through his stomach. The body was found by the widow.
