Hoover is Distinguished. Few people in all the world's history have been honored by having their names perpetuated in a cictionary. It is a rare distinction to have one’'s name go down to posterity as a part of the English lanuguagce, Heebert C. The discussion of getting club enrollment through the schools gave some very helpful suggestions.
Shorthorn Club in Evening. The Shorthern calf club members are looking forward to an interesting meeting at the Community Building Wolf Lake in the evening at 8:00 o’clock Tuesday. A mock trial and a talk by W. C. Latta of Purdue University will feature the program.

Held In County Jail.
At a hearing at Albion Monday afternoon on information filed by Prcsecutor Lincoln charging burglary and grand larceny. to which they had pleaded guilty Glen Winkler and Everret Slabaugh were remanded to the county jail in default of bail to await trial in the Noble Circuit co.urt. The young men are charged with robbing the Herman Sack store in this city of merchandise valued at $2OO. About one half of the -Sack goods was recovered irom a room -whare they had been stored in South Bend. : s The penalty attched to the offense charged against the young men is a prison sentence from two to fourteen years.

Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Mier and son Durbin are home from spending the winter in Los Angeles Califoraia. They had a pleasant sojourn in the iGolden state but were pleased to return to familiar scenes.

Charles E. Overmeyer 58 was tfatally injured Saturday when he jumped from a truck into the path of an automobile driven by his cousin Ambrose Overmeyer at Rochester. - -

Mother of Four Suicides. ~_ Mrs. Ruby Patoux 35 of Hartford City committed suicide late Sunday afternoon by taking poison in her bome. She was found lying unconscipus in her bedroom at 6:36 o’clock by her son Richard 10. She died before medical aid could be given. ; A note left by Mrs. Patoux said that she took her own life because of despondency. Her husband died seyeral years ago. Ligonier veterans of the SpanishAmerican war particularly those who served in the 157th Indiana Volunteer Infantry are looking forward with the greatest interest and pleasure to the thirtieth anniversary reunion of their old regiment which is to be held at Auburn Saturday night and Sunday May 5 and 6, with Auburn as the hostess city and Campanies I and K in charge c¢f-the entertainment.

Mrs. John Stewart €5 died at the Lome of her sister Mrs. Martin Stracer near Wawaka of complication of diseases Saturday night. Surviving are her husband and one sister. The voting precinets in Perry townsuip as fixed by the county comanissioners are all correct as voting places at the coming primary election except precinet No. 6. The legal notice fixes this voting place as Warren's paint shop when it should be the Ligonier water works. i !
