It took a truck to haul awuy the property the boy had stolen and taken to the Ramsey home police said. ' 15 Dogs Trapped ' Eighteen dogs which were found in a vacant dwelling were believed by Gary police to have been locked in the house b ¥ a recent windstorm which blew all the doors shut. The remains of a cat was also found with the dogs. The police theory was that the dogs had chased the live cat into the house and while extinguishing its life were imprisoned in the house.

Love of 310 East Lexington avenue Elkhart a city,mail carriersuffered painful burns and small cuts about both of his eyes Saturday night when a toy cannon was fired at the American Legion hall in Elkhart most of the charge striking him in the face. A meeting of the 40 and § club of the Legion was being held at the time and Mr. Love was sitting at & table writing' when the cannon was discharged. It contained a small load of powder. His left eyeball was cut in four places but it was believed that the sight will not be impaired. ' :
