Tires are Stolen. A thief or thieves entered the John L. Henry garage last Friday night and stole three valuable automobile tires used by Hal Green for demonstration purposes. The door of the garage remained locked after the theft and how entrance was gained is a mystery. Prominent Speaker. There ‘will be a prominent speaker from Purdue university to address the Ligonier Chamber of Commerce and prominent farmers at the banquet at Hotel Ligonier at 6:30 Friday evening, March 1&. A good attendance is looked for. ’ Condition Remains Critieal. The condition of Mrs. Harry Spurgeon remains very critical. Blood poison developed from a slight scrateh on her hand inflicted two weeks ago and she is now so weak that she can turn over in bed with great difficulty. Child Has Operation. Dr. Lane operated on Lois, aged four and one-half years, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schiemmer in the Methodist hospital at Fort Wayne Tuesday evening. The patient is reported as doing well. Is Mean Thiet. It was a mean thief who entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gilbert and stole the mite box with its contents. from Mrs. Gilbert. The Renehan - sale near Wawaka was well attended last Tuesday afternoon. There was lively bidding. ‘Caharies sold from seven dollars for males to 35 cents for females. Cows brought $125. Household goods sold well. A good sleigh went tor 25 cents a pair of bobsleds only brought 25 cenis. A tiny pair of ox yokes intended for breaking calves were sold as was a boat. Oats brought 66 and 67 cents a bushel.

~ .An automobile race with police ended for two men when their automobile was blocked by a long freight train at Indianapelis. : : Officers said they discovered 199 gallons of alcohol a case of beer high powered rifles and ammunition in the car in which the two men were riding.
