The Indiana-Michigan Electric Co. was named defendant in a suit for $75,000 damages filed: in. superior court No. 2 at South Bend Wednesday by attorneys for David A. Kendig 16-vear-old Elkhart youth. ot Young Kendig was severely burned and allegcd o have been partly erippled when his flying kite its frame trussed with copper wire came into contact with high tensicn wires in the allev behind Kendig's home. The yvouth was standing in his back vard when the kite struck the wires, and he was thrown to the ground by the shock severly burned. | (oshen Men Injared. His bond is $5OO. Assessors Begin Work Today. Township assessors of Noble county began today the work of appraising personal property and real estate for taxation. Luther Coopeer Perry town ship assessor will have as his assistant Forda- Buchtel. Mr. Cooper covering the work in Ligonier and M. Buchtel in Perry township. Farm Machinery Exhibited. C. W. Wells ‘representing the Fort Wavne branch of the International Harvester company held a school at the Seagley Brothers store in this city Wednesday. for farm implement dealers of this district and entertained them at lunch at Hotel Ligonier.
Walnut Tree Sells.for $3OO A wainnt tree cut from the Conlin farm near Mount Vernon has ‘been sold by Mrs. Alired Alexander to the American Walnut veneering company for $3OO. Mystery surrounds the attack on Richard as the patient has been unable to tell who his assailant was.

| Dies After Cutting Throat, - Funeral services for Marion MecECrory €5 of Angola who died Thurs’day after cutting his throat with a razor last Monday were held Saturday. Despondency over ill health for ten years is believed to have caused McCrory to end his life. While his wife was away from the house for a short time, McCrory seized the razor and cut a deep gash across his throat. Because of his poor health and the loss of much blood doctors were unable to prolong his life. ‘Dies at Kendallville ' Mrs. Mary Hollibaugh aged 66 years wife of A. E. Hollibaugh died suddenly at her home in Kendallville at eight o’clock Friday -evening. Mrs. Hollibaugh who has resided in that city since April 1924 seemed to be in her usual health and performed her household duties. Shortly before eight o'clock she prepared to retire when she was suddenly stricken and died before a physician could be summoned. Death was due to organic heart trouble. . Six Persons Killed Six persons were killed late Saturday when the automobile in which they were riding collided with a T. H. & 1. interurban at a crossing near Centerton. The dead are: Mrs. Thacker and small daughter and Mr. and Mrs. John Buchner and two daughters ages § and 10 all of Brooklyn Ind.
