Committee Endorses Sen. Watson. The republican state committez Thursday afternoon endorsed the candidacy of Senator James K. Watson .for the republican presidential nomination. .
“This meeting has been called because of the recent announcement of one of our distinguished -citizens of his candidaey for president,” E. Faye Kitselman of Muncie chairman of the committee said in opening the meeting. :

Elopement Ends in South Bend. i The elopement of John Soy 23 and his 16 year old sweetheart Eleanor ‘Cadaret both of Detroit Mich., ended disastrously Wednesday morning in a ditch about 15 miles west of South Bend on Death highway U. S. highway No. 20 and now John is in jail and Eleanor is in St. Joseph's hospital.
