Chang Here is one of those rare pictures that make history; that will be filed away and kept for future generations in the libraries and school archives. Farmers Out in Full Force. } On Thursday East Benton township farmers were out in full force before the county commissioners pleading for better roads north from the Lincoln highway to Milersburg. At present these roads are nearly impassable; the worst in twenty years. School hacks are unable to pass overn a part of their route, making it very difficult for scholars to attend school at the centralized building in East Benton. - Some of the petitioners were opposed to too much road building prior to this winter but we noticed that some of these same me:r iare now outspoken for this north and south road but can not agree fully ‘as to the route taken, which will bs ’selected later. :
From present indication it will be gin at the old Stephens Evans farin north via the Centralized school buiid ing connecting with the road running east and west on the north side of the Willis Foster farm. This of itself will leave a distance of two miles to the Noble and Elkhart county line, where in time beyound a doubt a joint concrete read will be built. Until that time a number of farmers living near the county line will not be fully benefitted. At present they are handicapped in even getting away from their homes in automobiles—Goshen News-Times.
