: Dinner Bridge ; ‘Mrs. C. G. Keehn entertained sizteen ladies at six o'glock dinner at her home Wednesday evening in compliment to her guest Mrs. C. A. Woody ruff of Détroit . There were tables of bridge at which game Mrs. Will Sack won first prize and Mrs. John Slutz second. A prize was given the honor guest Mrs. Woodruff. Mrs. Otis Nus 3 baum and Mrs. Maurice Brubaker were here from Fort Wayne.
- Apother Car Wrecked While driving to the city this forenoon on the North river road in her Ford coupe Mrs. Anna Summers had a collision with a Perry township school hack driven by James Simpson and wrecked her car. In order to evade a collision Rev. and Mrs. T. A. Hubbartt of Benton who were following the Summers car swerved with their Ford sedan and came near going into the river.

Three children were burned to death in a fire which destroyed the home of Reuben Stork a farmer residing 11 miles southwest of Flint Michigan. - Emma Stork 12 years old and Betty Stork 5 whose charred bodies werg found in the ruins of the dwelling and Irving Stork 9 who died early today from burns he received. ey

Christian Endeavor at 6 P. M. last Sunday was consecration service and each one responded to their name, Two new members were added. Roy Moody leader next Sunday. Triangle Club at Mrs. Jacksons Fri'day after school. We hope every mem-+ ber will be present. The club is doing«} fine but seven months of the year is gone. If we reach our gdal we must work. We can reach it. The Gleaner Class was entertained at the home of the pastor and wife Tuesday evening. A general good time was enjoyed by all. The class pledged £250 on the budget. Who will beat it? Mrs. Ray Wolf assisted Mrs. Grisso in entertaining. - The pastor filled Rev. Anderson’s place at the Centeralized school Wednesday and talked to the school on ‘“The Great Magnet” It is a very pleasant half hour once a week that we as pastors enjoy with these chil, dren. As older people we ought to take more interest in our schools. ~ Preaching service at 7P M. Sunday. Good music and brief sermon.

: Presbyterian C. E. Notes Our C. E. meeting of Monday evening was one of the best of the year. 37 members were present. Mary Jane Lundy as leader gave a very interesting talk Walter Schrock gave a fine reading. The discussion was heartily entered into by all present. It being ‘Consecration night roll call was read and responded too. Buryl Taylor the president was voted as delegate from the Society to the conference of Christian Education at Indianapolis Feb 14 and 15. Next Monday evening the Society will be entertaned at the home of Mrs. Z. Bilmire. Our recently organized C. E. orchestra under the directorship of Arthur Reed played for the first time Sunday evening: > This is another help to our Society as well as the young people and wé hope the parents will stand right back of it. : = ; Orchestra rehearsal tonight at church.
