| - Wakarusa Man Hurt. ; | Merrily Bechtel-24 who lives near, Wakarusa yas seriously injured Wedni;:da'y evening when struck by an automobile said to have been driven by Welson Bender of Eilkhart Bechtel, who is a carpenter and employed by Sherman Lechlitner at Mishawaka. was driving home when he saw two women trying to change a tire near‘j Osceola. Beclitel stopped to help the women and while he was changing‘ ‘the tire he was struck by the other car. Fhe driver was said to have been intoxicated and a warrant for his arrest was issued. : Bechtel was taken to a hospital in Mishawaka in an ambulance. He was found to have sustained a fracture of his right arm below the elbow fractures of his right leg above and below the knee and other injuries.
