Linked With Other Robberies ~.Joe Clouse residing southeast of Albion who is confined to the Noble county jail awaiting trial for parti-cipafion-in a series of robberies in the county last Wednesday night has alsa been identified as the man who robbed a filling station at the intersection of the Yellowstone trail and the Lincoln highway north of Fort Wayne, con the same night. Clouse was identified by the proprietors of the filling station who called at the county jail They stated that Clouse visited the filling station about one and one-half hours after the robbery at the Frank Stanley home. The person who participated in the robberies with Clouse is still at large. “ ' Escapes With Fine Amos Snoke 42 years old Noble county farmer entered a plea of guilty when arraigned on a forgery charge before Special Judge Luke H, Wirigley of the WNoble circuit court at Albion Monday. Snoke was fined $lO and given a suspended sentence of 2 to 14 years in the state prison at Michigan City. Snoke had heen in jail since November 15. : - The check Snoke forged was for $l,OOO and was forged on Lewis Ruderman Noble couniy onion growdr. It was cashed at the Alivion National bank by Snoke who used the money to pay off a small mortgage and two notes at the bank and hought some articles needed at his farni. ' T ~ The aged man was found crumpled up at the foot of a flight of stairs that ‘led to his second floor home where he lived alone. : Another Girl Missing A state wide search was started for Alma Estep ten-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Estep who is mysteriously missing from Peru. Her mother is frantic Trom fear that the girl has been kidnapped. The girl left her home at three o'clock Friday afternoon to attend a party at the Methodist church. : The party was over at five o’clock hut-the girl failed to return home although she was seen at the party.
