This Trained-Army is at Your Command

One hundred and seventy thousand men and a vast eguipment of engines and cars worth over $725,000,000 move to market the products of shippers on New York Central Lines. Erom the men who walk the 12,000 miles of road, to the great corps of officets who are planning to meet your future transportation needs, each New York Central man is alert to serve you well. Some idea of New York Central’s task may be had from the equipment it now has in use—--127,822 box cars, 5,753 stock cars, 116,706 coal cars, 1,613 coke cars, 7,588 flat cars, 464 container cars, 2,700 caboose cars, 13,862 refrigerator cars, and 5,100 passenger coaches. These are hauled by. more than 6,000 locomotives. But more vital in every shipper’s mind are the cdrs that will be waiting on his siding when he wiants them: .Providing them when and where they are needed, and moving them promptly to dgsfination, calls for constant ‘cooperation between shippers and the railroad. The high character of New York Central Service is in no small measure due to this cooperation, : ‘ ‘
