Our mark for Bibie school attendance Sunday is set for 100. We can reach it if every one who was there last Sunday will return. Others will be there. 9:30 is the hour. Public preaching service at 10:30. We would be happy to greet every member of the church at this service. Why should not every member be there? Last Sunday was a good day with us. We can more than duplicate it. At 7:00 P. M. our revival services will begin Mr. and Mrs. Bozell will make their first appeararye. We should give them a full house right in the beginning. A good start is not everythirg but it does affect the final outcome. These people come to us with high recommendations from many good people from our state, Hearing them once you will want to hear them again. These services are for the building up the moral and spiritual life of the church as well as to enlist new life in the church. The moral and spiritual comgdition of the community is dependent npon the churches of ‘the community. Good live churches mean good moral and spiritual. conditions. Choir practice Friday at 7 P. M. ATTACKS ST. JOE PASTORS

Replies To Resolution Passed By - Ministerial Body at South | Bend The Other Day

Declaring that his action in obtaining medicinal whiskey “ was no more violative of law than is the admiidstration of the sacrament by those of you who use wines for the purpose,” Arthur L. Gilliom, -attorney-general replied to a resolution passed by the St. Joseph County Ministerial Association condemnirg him as a violator of the Wright bone dry law. ‘ ’ Mr. Gilliom denied the allegations of the ministerial association that Le had publicly confessed violation of both the federal prohibition law and the Indiana enforcement code and attacked the resolution as a “a typical example of the dishonest bigotry that has brought the great state of Indiana into national disgrace.” ' The attorney-general’s reply to the ministers follows: ; “I have been apprised of the norecclesiastical and ~gratuitors resalution passed yesterday by your body; in which you make the very false state ment that I have confessed violating both state and federal prohibition laws, I have violated no such laws and I have rot confessed any such violations. What 1 did was no niore violative of law than is the administration of the sacrament by those of you who use wines for the purpose. J§ only performed my natural and lega) filial duties in what I did. ‘ “Your resolution is a typical example of the dishorgest bigotry that has brought the great state of Indiana into national disgrace. If such as your membership had been less active in the past few years irz promoting intolerant fanaticism through such organizations as the Anti-Saleon league and the Ku Klux Klan and if you had corfined yourselves to the propey sphere of the church and had taughf true religion Indiana would not be in her present disgraceful mess and the church would be more highly respected and would be a greater agency for human good.”
