Candle Light Meeting.

~ The Christian Endeavor held a Candle Light meeting last Monday evening. This was the first meeting of the season and was led by Mrs. Bachelor. Since the president Irene Johnson has gone home the vice president Winifred Sutton will take charge of! the meetings. The next meeting will be held Monday evening at 7 o’clock Sept. 27 at the Presbyterian church.

S, senator will deliver an address at the community building in Kendallville, Albert Stump long term candidate will at 9 o’clock tomorrow Friday evening speak at the same place after his address at Albion. Chas. Pricé has the contract for cuttiny the weeds and trimminv the trees on both sides of the state road between Ligonier and Albion. H@ has finished his stunt from Ligonier to Wawaka. and is now on his way to Brimfield and thence will work to Albion. Hg does the work with a brush scythe.

For the first time in years Kendallville made a bad guess for their fair week. Bubbles and Hoosier Bell Ligonier steppers were booked to race today. Walter Wolf is a judge of swina at the fair. = b

Will Use Renovated Church. The Presbyterian church after a period of renovation will be opened for use Sunday next the 26th. ' ~ Sunday School at 9:30. Preaching service at 10:45. Let everybody come out and note the improvements. @
