. Albert-Stump democratic candidate for the long term in the United States senate Speaking before the annual picnie of ‘the Indiana Farm Bureau federation at Turkey Run placed emphasis on the loss of farm values in America from 1920 to 1925. He asserted the loss reached $20,000,000,000. ' “The candidate declared that this loss was sustained under the oper, dation of high protective tariffs on farm products and said that wheat, under the Fordney-McCumber tariff, is selling for less in the United States today than it is bringing in Winnipeg Canada. - “In the face of that loss to agriculture” he said “1,200 corporationsg in: the United States will net morq"‘ than $5,000,000,000 profits this very year. The possibility of prosperity for the farmer is swept away in forcing him to contribute to the amassing of such enormous returns” he concluded. ! '
