oOil in Bank Vault.

Somewhere around. six or seven thousand pounds of peppermint oi} distilled this year is now stored in the National bank valut for safekeeping and most of it is insured against loss by theft or otherwise. This stora ed poundage is likekly to be increased. "

Peppermint oil is quoted at from eight to ten dollars a pound. at the present time, but those who are familjar with the conditions in this country, and among the growers abroad, are of the opinien that.the price wil} go- considerably fhigher within the coming few weeks possibly to fifteen or ‘eighteen dollars a pound. ,

Prices last year were around twenty, dollars or more a pound but this wasg the result. of wunusual competition among the buyers rather than a nat, ural rise to be credited to yield oy market condition-——LaGrange Standard.
