George Sheffer 44 aad Harry Miller 26 are charged with public intoxication and illegal possession of intoxicating liguor as the result of a raid on their cigar store on South Main street Hlkhart. A quart of moonshine was taken in the raid. Frank Smole 21 is charged with manufacture and posscssion of intoxicating' liquor. The police found several bottles of home brew and five gallons of raisin mash in _his home. Mrs. Cora Morrison is also-charged with illegal possession of intoxicating liquor. The police found a half gallon of moonshine at her home. _ Dies_ in Kendallville. Mrs. Elizabeth F. Shultz aged 60 years wife of David M. Shultz native of Steuben county and resident of Kendallville the past year died Monday. evening at. her home following a ten weeks’ illnes from cancer. She was taken bedfast with the dread affliction six weeks ago and since that time her condition had been critical.

Axe Severs Artery. ' Henry Wolf was injured at the Mercy Wiright farm when he stepped on an axe near Columbia City. The blade cut a gash two inches deep in his foot and severed an artery. Arrested For Speeding. - Ernest Oswalt of Goshen and B. H. Lawell of South Bend were arrested by County Highway Patrolman Ralph Logan on charges of speeding. .
