Brouse's office at ‘Kendallville last Saturday night to considér the boys and girls lamb club for this year. : fa i Claude Hanper .a former Noble county boy who is now head of the sheep ‘department at Purdue discussed the all around training that should come to a boy or girl through club work and he stressed the importance of deiveloping good men and women along with good livestock. o d The basis of awards allowing 50 percent for show, 20 percent for rate of grain, 20 percént for record according to age of club member, and 10 percent for story was approved. If was suggested that the club members buy their own lambs and it was thought that $l.OO bélow the Buffalc price would be a reasonable price to pay here. However for good ewe lambs the club members could afford to pay more. Lambs weighing from 50 to 60 pounds on July Ist were considered about the right weight. The bréeders present agreed to pay additional premiums of $5, $3, and $2 at the Kendallville Fair if pens of pure bred Shropshire lambs stand first, second and third in the show ring. , : o
