Deceased came wfiith;his parents as a child to Mercer county Ohio wherel he grew to young manhood. , On March ¢ 1864 he' was united in marriage to laicinda, Waggoner -of Mercer County-Ohio and to this union was born six children. = .- - - The deceased came with his family first to Jay county lndiana-whdere he hemained two years and on: March 2 1875 came to Ligonier where he has since resided, a resideice .of 50
years. s o He was engaged for a number of vears in farming later he was in the employ of the New - York. Central Railroad and his last work was’that of janitor and caretaker of -our Public Library and grounds in which he continued for 16 years and which position he gave up two years ago on account of infirmity of age, Brother Golder was always a man’ of industry and was always trying to do do what*heeoulea i = = = The deceased Necame a follower of the Lord Jesus (Jhrist about 50 years ago he'has ever!'been a faithful servant of his Lord, he first united with the Wesleyan - Methodist church and later with the U. B. church of Ligoonier in which church he | was a member when called home,, and during the speeial services 'h‘eld' here recently was often found present, his last attendance being - last Sunday eVel_r‘ing. “His long life has not beer without its influence. . His was the simple . life and vet the life that after all eounts most. . T Brother and sister Golder had been married almost 62 yeas a record sé¥dom exceeded. . There remain.to mourn his departure the aged companion, one son J. H. Golder of Ligonier three daughters Clara Kirkdorfer and. Ada Kern of* Elkhart and Hattie Nelson of Bingen Arkansas, Two sons Abraham and Frank ‘having preceeded him in death. ' There remain also twelve grand childen and fourteen great grand children beside a host of other relatives and friends, = . Card of Thanks.
