Norton 79 who 25 years ago operated chain stores in Marion and other ¢ities in the state under the motto “I manage my store as Jesus would” and who achieved wide promience as “Golden Rule” Norton died suddenly Friday of heart disease at the home of his son Charles in Marion. Sale of tobacco in his stores was forbidden and when he opened the parent store in Marion all the tobacco on hand was burned in front of his place of busin ss. ; e Golden Fawn Seold. + It was learned here that negotiationg are practically complete for sale of the Golden Fawn bus line Fort Wayne to Muncie and Fort to South Bend via Ligonier by John Donzelli of Fort Wayne to the Indiana Service Corporation owners of the Fort Wayne Lafayette interurban line and several bus lines. The change may take effect today. :

Hoagland was the guest of honor at a reception and banquet held at the Elks club in Findlay Ohio, the occasion being his retirement from 40 years service for the New York Central railway company. Anderson Woman Dead. Mrs. James Hacker 46 was killed and her daughter Mrs. Kartherine Murfin 26 and 4 year old granddaughter Betty Murfin of Anderson were seriously injured when an automobile driven by Mrs. Murfin was struck by a Big Four railroad passenger train at the cast edge of Fortville, Mrs. Murfin and her child are in a hospital at Fortville. : : - Wanted For Forgery. Mrs. J. E. Longley 60 years old who said she is a trained nurse and who was arrested at South Bend after she had tried to pass worthless checks is being held for authorities in Harrisburg, Pa., where she is wanted for forgery. Thirty members were present and after the business was transacted the meeting was turn‘ed over to the entertainment committee.
