CURT'S CAR COPPED Hutchison Ford | Sedan Stolen at South Bend Thursday Night From - ‘ -~ Party of Ladies ' _A & L : * Curtis’ Hutchison is short one almost new Ford sedan this Friday morning with. small chance of recovery. The machine was stolen from in front of the ¥. M. C. A. home in South Dend Thursday night and the police there are without a clew. - Mrs. Curtis Hutchison and the Micses Mildred Kimmell, Helen Wiolf Madena Fair and Ruby Kunce drove over to attend “Blossom Time’” at the Oliver opera house, South Bend arriving there about eight o’clock. They took the switch key with them and locked the car doors. At eleven o'clock the machine was gone. The voung ladies took a train for Goshen and were met there Dby Mr. Hutchison and Joe Kimmell, Jr., who econducted the theatre party home. The South Bend poilice were given the license number of the machine by telephone. ° ’

' Girl Charged With Arson, - ‘Miss Mabel Jones of Marion charéed with twice having attempted to burn the farm home of her emplover Roger Jordan a farmer south of Hartford City Wednesday went on trial in circuit court. She was said to have confessed to authorities that she attempted to burn the dwelling and then later repudiavied the confesion. Jordan %l}il]l%@lf was und_en arrest for a time. Michigan City Man Killed. Ernest' F. Vullmayer 39 vice president of the Zorn Products Co. at Michigan City was fatally injured Monday Akwenin’g when his atuomobile failed to take a turn on the on the Michigan' City-Liaporte road. The ear struek a tree and Vullmayer was thrpwn out. He died a short time later at a LaPorte hospital. Here On Visit, H. A. Rice of Birmingham Alabama is. in-the city a guest of his father Marlin Rice and other relatives. Mrs. Hiram Cooper who has reached her 87th year Rev. Cooper. is a self-made man working his way through college, He entered the ministry and has doné !excellent work in the cause of Christianity. He has three sons all holding good positions in Detroit, — Goshen News Times. Homer S. Cooper is a graduate of the Ligonier high school and a brother of L. P. Cooper of this city and Mrs. Samuyel. Woli Declared Murderer, Charles “One Arm’” Wolfe last night was found guilty by a jury in Delaware circuit court at Muncie of first degree murder for the killing of Ben Hance and wife on August 14 last. ‘The verdict is either death or life imprisonment. | ' The jury recommended life imprisonment, : Six Absentees.
