FHE LIGONIER BANNER, LIGONIER, INDIARA

: Obitunary. As we look about us during the harvest season while corn is being garnered in, and nature prepares the ground with a carpet of leaves to receive the new fallen snow, and all nature is eloquent of that sudden chanze which is taking place every~here, a loving husband and father ~uddenly made his departure from “'Lhe life that now is to the life which is to come.”

Carl L, Frick wa sborn in Xoble county near Cosperville June 15 1832 and departed this lite while in the contuct of his regular business suddenly and by accident, eight miles west of Plymouth Thursday morreing between the hours of eight and nine, November 5 1925 being 43 years 4 months and 20 days old at the tirre of his death. :

Mr. Frick spent practically all of his life near the place of his hirth. Following his marriage, himself and wife lived for two years west of Ligonier, after which they moved to this community. :

He was united in marriage with Mary Franks, at her home near Wawaka, February 20:1901 with whom he was happily married and lived many yvears until untimely ~separdted by death. To this union was born one child, a daughter Ruby, (Mrs. Jesse Riddle) of Ligonier who with her mother survive to mourn the loss of a devoted husband and loving father. While Mr. Frick made his home upon the farm, most of his life was spent in the avocation of salesman, which caused him to cover at times in his journeys a considerable extent of territory, being away in the pursuit of his business when overtaken by death. e

In the year 1907 the subject of our sketch with his wife Mary, in company with his father, mother, sister and ‘brothers (or the Wm. Frick f:unilly) united with the Baptist church at Cosperville, He continued to be a faithful member of this church throughout life. . o _ Mr. Frick being noted for cheerfulness, firmness, stability and decision of character which- eminently qualified him for positions of public trust, he was chosen by the Cosperville Baptigt church to serve in seyeral capacities being deacon, treasurer and acting as delegate on many ooc¢Ccasions. He was willing to support the Cause of Righteousness in every way, and gave liberally of his means to the support of the gospel. N He was a devoted husband and loving father. His home life was blest by the radiance of a cheerful personality and this consideration and lespect won from his wife that deep love and appreciation which shall not be forgotten. : :

As citizen and neighbor he was honest and upright in all his dealings. He was always ready to help whoever needed his services with that readiness the favor seemed granted almost before it was asked. 7 Besides the names of wife and daughter already mentioned the following of whom are present except the mother, are near to him in the ties of kinship. Mrvs. Ida Frick, his mother, a sister Mrs. Dale Reidenbach of Whittier California, and four brothers Alva Frick, cf Plymouth. Sheldon Frick of Clay Center Kansas, Clarence Frick of Wawaka, and Russe] Frick of LaGrange Indiana. | " Having walke din the steps of his Master - through this life he has followed the Good Shepherd through “The valley of the shadow of death” he felt no evil for the Master. was with him to comfort him and lead him to those blessed pastures that await the sheep ot his fold. “Yes; from earth and all.its gladness, & Thou art part and no return; : Yet my soul though sick with sadness, ‘Mourns not as the helpless mourn. Holier trust than thine hath never ~ Showered it’s peace on dying bed; Faith, whose fruit is joy forever, Sinless, pure where thou art fled. Though thy form to dust is given, Yet thou live'st in glory free; - And my spirit lifts to heaven See the love it bore to Thee. Oh! that it may fail. me never, Til I mingle with the dead Blessed hope! to dwell forever In that land where thou art fled. 8 iyt e e : : For Sale—Piano ' (Emerson) will sell cheap.
