Fi}gure:; given cut by the company Saturday afternoon showed that fdr the .week of October 17-23 the domestic production totaled 49,004 cars and trucks a record for .any @ six-day period. - The biggest day for the week which reacked a new record was last Tuesday when 8,465 cars and trucks were produced. : i
Middlebury Schools Closed. The uliddlebury school and the Greirer school a short distance west of Middiebury werec losed for fumivation in an effort to stop any further spread of scarlet fever. There are five cases of scarlet fever in Middlebury, township all outside of the town of Middlebury, it was reported to Ccunty Health Commissioner Dr. H. K., Lemon of Goshen. There are also two cases of diphtheria in the town ship. ; :

Gelden Eagle Captured,
A golden eagle with a wing spread of more than seven feet was captured alive in a corn field near Columbus. The eagle was captured by John Holder of Hawcreek township when he found the bird in a field where in had descended to capture a chicken. Unable to spread its wings becausc of the closeness of the corn rows the bird was knocked over the head with an ear of corn.

Becoming suddenly and violetaly insane Mabel Kngiff 32 residing with her varents nine miles south of Warsaw swung viciously at the throat of her tather with a long butcher knife. Her principal hallucination is that her enemies are plotting to kill her parents. She has been placed in the county jail.

President Coolidge has issued a pro clamation designating Thursday November 26 as Thanksgiving day. Peace at home and'abroad a bountiful harvest and expanding commerce are special reasons the president said, why Americans should be thankful for the year now drawing to a close.
