Just who is stuck is not known. The fellow who delivered the barrell claims the change of contents was made in the bank. . Auto Turns Over. Two Goshen residents a young man and a young woman suffered minor injuries when their auto turned over on the Dixie highway near V.’ars'a_w, Sunday night. The car was damaged and before a wrecking crew towed it to a garage a tire ‘and motor meter were stolen. . - To Open Tea Room. . Mr, and Mrs. Henry E. Schirm formerly of Ligonier will in a few days open a tea room in the Miss Wilma Foulks home corner Madison bou{evard and Righth street in Goshen. . The flame in an oil heating stove ran up, filling the place with smoke. The stock was slightly damaged when the blaze was discovered.
Wite Slayer Sentenced. The trial of Alfonso Salvo age 34 years for the killing of his wife Mary in Kokomo last July 24 ended abruptly in the Clinton circuit court where it had been taken on a change of venue, when Salvo entered a plea of guilty to a charge of manslaughter and took a sentence of 2 to 21 years. The original charge had been second degree murder. : . Balloon Man Hurt. - J. F. McConnell who was making balloon ascensions in connection with the Goshen fall festival there last week hit on a building when making his parachute. descent Saturday, A bone in his ankle was fractured and he was cut and bruised so that he will not be able to make ascensions soon again. : : ‘ Meet to Be at Fort Wayne, A meeting of all postal employees in the twelfth congressional district will be held at the Fort Wayne Y. Pays His Wager. Joe Leavy walked on his knees from the American Cafe to the Lincoln highway garage Tuesday on Cavin street at two o’clock in payment of a wager. A large audience witnessed the unique performance and snap shots were taken of the moving figure.. Masquerade Cake Walk. . Great amusement and pleasures are promised for tomorrow evening at the Perry township centralized school building where the school will put on a masquerade cake walk and box supper. A number will be in attendance from Ligonier. _ : , Democrats Name Doctor Dr. Angus C. McDonald will probably be the Democratic candidate for mayor of Warsaw. The city committee has agreed to place hig name on the ballot and it is believed that he will accept the place. ;

Chickens and ('ali Stolen, Petty thieves have been active in Troy township Whitley county. As Sanford Tinkham was walking in the lane at his home he met a small truck coming out. The truck had a chicken coop on it with some chickens in the; coop and there was also a calf upon it. He Was Polite, A polite young man engaged a Yellow Cab at Elkhart to take him to the outskirts ‘of the city. When the cab stopped a cold barrel of a revolver was shoved in the side of the driver, his small change requested and overcoat. The driver was forced out of the cab while the bandit drove back to Elkhart.. The cab was later recovered. : :
