Hunting New Quarters,
"The G.'A. R. and W. R. C..organizations are secking new quarters now that they are obliged to move from the Hussey block on aeeoé‘.t of the improvements to be made)\ on the building.! It is highly probable that Ferguson Camp Spanish American, War veterans will join with the G. A. R. and W. R. C. in the procuring of a suitable room for their meeting purposes. Rural Mail Carriers,
Indiana has 1,845 rural mail routes with an equal number of carriers. These carriers cover a mileage of 54,795. The state with the largest numhber of routes is Illinois with 2,637 with a mileage of 70,677. - The state with the smallest number of routes is Wyoming with 35 carriére and a mileage of 1,031, The pay of a motor rural mail carrier is from $2,400 to $2,600 a year. The pay is regulated by the number of miles traversed and the length of service.
Parole is Revoked.
~ Walter L. Guyer was arrested at Pontiac Mich., and has been returned to Goshen where he is now' in the county jail. Guyer’s suspension of sentence of one to seven years at the state reformatory has been revoked in the circuit court and his arrest lowed. He was sentenced for. failure to support his wife and children, and his sentence was suspended upno his promise to support them. ‘He tailed to do so. :

O'Rourke Has Two Bills,
Senator Kdward O’'Rouke Allen and Noble Republican introduced two bills in the senate. One would legalize all bouds notes and other written obligations issue dby.any county township municipality for corporation or municipal purposes. The other would require all vehicles to display lights on the left side at night while on the public highways. » S

Receives Valuable Relie.
D. F. Tenher of Harrisburg Pennsylvania has sent J. J. Stewart of this city through the mail a piece of oak wood taken from the house which sheltered : Mr. Stewart’s great grandfather built prior to 1750 by Col. Joseph Barrett. The relic is highly prized by the .recipient as there is much history connected with it. The house sheltered many families during the Indian raids Col Bennett’'s oldest son was captured in one of the raids and held in. captivity for eight years. o

The bill in the legislature the adoption of which would have put an end to paid admission amusements on Decoration day May 30 and put a stop to the Speedway races in Indianapolis on that day, was killed through the influence of Marion county .people. - v

A Cromwell citizen is authority for the statement that Williath . Hull of that town was quite badly injured when he fell out of bed. The story is that William had an attack -of nightmare and tossed about in his sleep with the result indicated. ;
Walb Says Slick.
Thomas W. Slick of South Bend will probably be appointed the second Indiana federal judge according to Clyde M. Walb republican state chairman, A dispatch from Indianapolis quotes Walb as saying that Slick will probably be named, ]
