Smiths Are Released. : Mr. and Mrs. John Smith recently of Garrett and formerly of Fort Wayne and Chicago principals in the swindle plot which. culminated in Kendallville Tuesday night involving quantity of alcohol valued at nearly $5OO and a fraudulent check issued on the Eagles lodge of that city were dismissed from custody on a cash bond of $lOOO. The case was conk tinued until January 28th. - Affidavits charging Mr. and Mrs. Smith with the unlawful transportation of liquor were filed. In the meantime officials wil lendeavor to apprehend the persons who perpetrated the plot and issued a fraudulent check. :

Dies Aged 95,

Isaac Kuhn one of the oldest eitizens in Kosciusko county died at his home at Kuhn's Landing where he hadl lived the past 80 years M. Kuhn was 35 years old. Only one week ago his brother Isaiah pagsed away at his home in North Webster. The family are early pioneers of northern Indiana. eTol

Mrs. Linval Calbeck of near Cromwell was operated on for appendicitis at the Goshen hospital Friday. .Mrs. Calbecek’s month old baby was, also admitted to the hospital for care during her illness. . L

Pesident Coolidge approved the hickey district court bill and it is now a law. It provides for an additional federal judge in Indiana and many lawyers are after the job. | °
