z e —————————— : lieart Disease Fatal, - Charles, Smith a farmer living east of Goshen on the Fish Lake road, died -uddenly Thursday afternoon while calling for some stock he had purchased at the Ralph Good farm southcast of Benton near Solomon’s Creek. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife and family. Cause of death was pronounced heart disease by the coroner. Diamend in Loaf of Bread. The most expensive loaf of bread ever made in Auburn was baked at a bakery there. It contained a valuable diamond weighing 1 'l-16 carats and was lost by W. A. Thomas while niixing dough. .The diamond became loose from- the mounting 'of Mr. Thoms’ ring and was worked up in to' bread. . . Fog Causes Wreck. While “Jim” Wigton, owner of the local theatre house, was traveling on the west road from LaGrange Tuesday morning his Dodge coach was struck by a truck from Shipshewana. Considerable damage was done to Mr. Wigton's car. The heavy fog which was prevalent all day Tuesday made driving a hazardous undertaking.— LaGrange News. : . ’ James Wigton is a brother of Attorney Wigton of Ligonier and is well known here. . e ; © More Christmas Gifts.
